I finally saw the orthopedic surgeon on Wednesday. He sent me to
get a real arm/wrist brace, which is a huge improvement over the SAM
splint I’d been using for over a week. I’m also going for a bone scan
on Tuesday, to get a more detailed picture of any potential damage.
Apparently, the bone scan process takes about 4-5 hours from start to finish, but there is some time to wander around in the middle as they wait for some fluid they will inject me with to distribute itself where needed.
I have to be at the clinic at 08:45, which means getting up super-early to fight traffic into Tel Aviv, and then spending most of the day there. Oh well. It could be worse.
