I was looking forward to going to a lecture given by Oracle CEO Larry Ellison, but managed to completely forget that I had swapped days for teaching new SAR team members some introductory rope skills due to my trip to Kenya. This means I have to take off from work at 4pm tomorrow and race down to Arad.
I could perhaps still go, but to be there means I have to leave Arad at 6:30am on Friday. It’s probably not going to happen.
I’ll be spending most of the rest of the weekend putting together an orienteering training exercise plan for next week, which is going to keep me quite busy (hence not wanting to get up early).
The break from pressure at work will be nice. I’m working on a number of big projects simultaneously.
